A 50 km route designed for those who want to unplug and get back in touch with the wild: a slow-paced ride through protected wetlands, lowland woods, and ancient stilt-house sites in the hidden Pianura dei Dogi.
What you will experience
- Oases & Biodiversity: The Parco Le Vallette in Cerea with its iconic wooden pier stretching over the water and the Brusà Oasis, a true sanctuary of silence
- Top-tier Birdwatching: A paradise for nature lovers, from grey herons to migratory species. During the winter months, these valleys become the sanctuary for the Sacred Ibis
- UNESCO World Heritage: Motta della Tombola, stepping back in time to explore prehistoric pile-dwelling sites
- Water & Woodland: The banks of the Adige River, the Bussè canal with its majestic old trees and the gravel roads of Asparetto through endless tree-lined avenues
When to experience this tour?
Best time to go: From March to October. March and April are stunning for the spring bloom, while autumn offers some incredible colours.
What to bring: Binoculars and a camera are a must for the best wildlife-watching experience!
Freedom & Flexibility
This tour is all about taking it easy. For lunch, the choice is yours: I highly recommend the charm of a packed lunch (picnic style) out in the wild, but I’m flexible enough to pull over at a local trattoria if you’d rather sit down for a traditional meal.
